Shuei Design office - Toufen City

Unlike any typical interior design, the Shuei Design office in Toufen City features a mix of different styles. In the framework, the neat contemporary style, chic modern style, elegant classical style, stylish industrial style, and rustic country style together form well-layered interiors. As invisible dividers that separate the fields, the walls and beams demarcate distinct spaces and maintain a generous visual depth.

On the outside, the store’s large floor-to-ceiling windows bring in an abundance of natural light. The transparent glass allows for an unobstructed view throughout the space and showcases a powerful connection between the interiors and the outdoors to remove a sense of rigidity and distance. Upon opening the door, the comfortable warm-toned wood flooring provides a skin-friendly touch and warms up the cold and rigid commercial space. Inspired by window displays, the two sides of the wall are delicately decorated with symmetrical classical lines, and then extend upwards to form the porch. Curved edges offset all the harsh angles, providing a soft, recessed texture. The open space is divided into two meeting areas and a waiting area equipped with a sofa. The rotating TV in the center creates a focal point. As it rotates around the axis, circular traffic flow is created. The boundaries that separate spaces are hidden and invisible.

The waiting area and the meeting area next to it are built with panels with rust-look finishes. The light gray sofa and dark red velvet armchair neutralize the dullness brought by dark colors. To implant a charm of rustic industrial style, the other meeting area is decorated with bricks made of cultured stone in three different shades of red. The beam above is covered with hand-made paint in grayscale color, and its hand-made texture adds warmth to a space and tones down the roughness and coarseness of the industrial style, creating a simple yet sophisticated feel.
