The Digital Fabrication Studio was established in KOKUYO's office "THE CAMPUS" as part of KOKUYO's launch of a new business that utilizes digital fabrication technology. In the midst of diversifying work styles, there is a need to build a new base and introduce technology to support the next era of manufacturing and space design.

The concept of the studio is a place of experimentation to explore unknown possibilities in manufacturing through repeated prototyping and verification. The studio aims to become a place where the culture of "prototyping" permeates the company, and where new value is created together with customers and partners.

The studio is equipped with a 3-axis digital woodworking machine "ShopBot" and a variety of tools to create an environment where ideas can take shape immediately.

The studio name (0,0,0) is named after the x-, y-, and z-axes that characterize the "ShopBot" and the prototype, the "starting point" of manufacturing, where the first shapes and ideas are created.

All of the furniture in the studio are prototypes created through a co-creation process between KOKUYO employees and VUILD, and are composed of experimental combinations of KOKUYO's ready-made components and wood.

For example, a new chair was created by attaching a backseat made of wood cut and assembled onto the legs of a swivel chair, and another component was attached in place of the backseat to create lighting and planters, among other experimental uses. In addition to simply cutting out planks of wood, they are also bending wood by cutting slits and producing tables that expand and contract in a bellows-like shape, challenging themselves to create original, free, and new designs while taking advantage of the processing features of the "ShopBot".

In front of the studio is a large artwork that clings to the pillars.

The art, which seems to be parasitic on the architecture and invade the space, consists of more than 1,000 pieces of wood with the "C" of "THE CAMPUS" as the key element, and was created to symbolize the expansion of new manufacturing through digital fabrication from this location.
