C97 Eco Playground:"Micro-Wetland" Links Human and Nature

The design of Chongqing C97 Eco Playground has presented a relative comprehensive set of pragmatic solutions that links human and local ecosystem. As a vital public green infrastructure project under the eco-restoration and protection framework of Chongqing, the C97 Eco Playground not only satisfies the children's amusement function, but also fully considers the ecological characteristics of the local wetland habitat, and uses the site topography to creatively integrate the concept of wetland into the site design, to stimulate the vitality and biodiversity of the site. At the same time, the design organically connected with the functions of the surrounding city context, the function of the old factory site was updated, and the site was endowed with the mission of a new era relying on the local cultural and history. Micro-wetlands are used to actively cope with the occurrence of extreme natural disasters in cities, improve biodiversity at the same time, repair the relationship between human and nature, and create a beautiful living environment for residents.
