Yuanfeng Star Theater

Stargazing has always been an exclusive experience for nighttime, and experiencing the beauty of the night during the day has been a longing of people for a long time. This work combines physical space, projection visuals, sound, and interactive devices to present a realistic experience of a world of stars. Through a hemispherical screen and visual animation (fisheye projection) in space, it presents the stories of Taiwanese indigenous legends. The audience can also connect with the story content through interactive devices in their hands, allowing them to enter the world of the work and convey the beauty and common knowledge of astronomy, including star birth, nebulae, black holes, and galaxies. The interactive segments bring cooperation and challenges to the audience, bringing achievement and fun, and generating interest in astronomy and respect for indigenous traditional culture.
Interactive methods:
The audience holds a device (star-finding mirror) that projects their totem onto the hemispherical dome screen, and through IoT signal transmission, they can control their own totem to unlock various tasks in the content.
After the interaction, a unique commemorative postcard image will be provided based on the audience's interaction data, along with an adventure ending and blessing, creating an unforgettable memory.
