Guangzhou Marriott Hotel Baiyun

With the theme of Lingnan gardens, the hotel shows the unique introverted and peaceful feeling of Lingnan traditional culture, and at the same time blends with modern art to create an oriental artistic conception of urban gardens.

The design of the lobby extracts the characteristics of Lingnan gardens to lay out the space. Through the combination of modern techniques and green plant distribution, Lingnan elements such as white walls, gray bricks, glazed glass, and wood carvings are used to shape the ancient Chinese poetic realm of gardens and scenery. It presents a profound and implicit, tortuous and changeable effect.

Continuing the language of the public area, the all-day dining uses different materials to express the unique style and charm of Lingnan culture. The Chinese restaurant draws on the pavilion features of Qinghui Garden, a famous historical site, and uses exquisite architectural elements to create this pavilion-style restaurant. Rattan fences and other materials with regional characteristics reflect the style of Chinese Nanyang characteristics. The designer expresses it incisively and vividly in the restaurant, conveying a nostalgic temperament.

The executive lounge is located on the 11th floor of the South Tower. By extracting and reinterpreting the shape of Lingnan panes, the space is created with a modern atmosphere and a courtyard style. The wide view outside the window brings the outdoor landscape into the interior, and the interior and exterior reflect each other.

The design concept of the guest room comes from the relationship among the rockery, water and stone in the garden. The natural elements are used in the space decoration and layout to make the space more flexible and allow guests to feel the atmosphere of the garden when entering the space.
