The Warmth of Wood

This apartment living space is located in Macao, which we aimed to deliver a peaceful and welcoming atmosphere, and achieved through a harmonious combination of natural materials, earthy colors as main design principles. The color palette is comprised of warm neutrals, such as beige, ivory, and light brown, which are punctuated by subtle touches of muted retro and vintage style. All are inspired by nature and help to create a serene and calming environment.



The main feature of this living space is the abundant use of natural wood. Different types of wood, such as oak, walnut, and ash, are employed to create a sense of warmth and comfort. Allowing the beauty and texture of the wood grain to shine through.



In keeping with the design philosophy, the furniture pieces in this living space are carefully chosen for their functionality and simplicity. Such as the seating area features a low-profile sofa with clean lines and comfortable cushions, paired with a wooden coffee table that showcases the natural beauty of its material.



The layout of the living space is open and fluid, with the furniture pieces thoughtfully arranged to encourage conversation and connection. Wooden louver and sliding doors ensure that the space is flooded with natural light, while also providing a seamless connection to the exterior areas.
