Green Cloud

Our team is trying to find a balance between remaining diversified residential lives and promoting living conditions.We hope to introduce rainwater-retained soil,fresh greening and hospitable common space to this solid concrete island,from which a green cloud arises upon the hardest surface of the city,contributing to a brand new urban landscape surface,one day the villagers are able to re-embrace the light and green.We introduce a viable and economic design method and hope such measure can be played as a demonstration.In our scenario,it can work as a urban protocol,spontaneously built by villagers,organically grown and at the end,forming GREEN cloud.



To achieve this concept,we set up 80*80 pure square steel tubes into 3 different structure components that are planting unit,floor unit and hollow unit.Such units can make up different formations and combinations responding to different roof statuses.The main construction work is done by welding technique which is well mastered by ordinary Chinese construction workers.A construction guide book is compiled for mass publicity and popularization.The second and fifth floor of a multi-layers building in urban village from Shenzhen has been selected as a pilot for setting a demonstration project.Through this motion,we hope neighbours and villagers can spontaneously learn and build,copy the outcome they see into their own roofs.As such protocol spreading,new units being built in urban village one after another and connecting in the sky,a new landscape full of fun,joy and vitality that we planned is coming out -- the GREEN Cloud.
