The project emphasizes "gathering around", visualizing the client's wish for the family to "gather" together. In addition to defining a clear boundary between the public and private areas, the cohesive effect of the public area is highlighted. In particular, the study room is semi-open, with two doors connecting the living room and the dining room respectively to strengthen the cohesion between the areas. The circular design also makes circulation more intuitive and enhances convenience. Moreover, the design team also used curves to embellish the ceiling, foyer vista, and living room vista to echo the theme, of "gathering around", and applied lines to shape the totem.
The project uses materials such as titanium-plated metal plates and marble to show modernity, and the modern style of the silhouette is complemented by the curves and comfortable scale. The design team blended the characteristics and preferences of each occupant to create a residence to serve the extended family.
