2022 Hualien Design Centre Art Project

The 2022 Hualien Design Center art project applies design and traditional wisdom to collect and re-interpret the uniqueness of five soils from various locations in Hualien. The soils were transformed into contemporary objects by utilizing the ancient crafts of Mud Dyeing and Firing Clay and refined into true "Hualien-style colors." Furthermore, this project collaborated with ten featured shops and transformed the experimental outcome into ceramics and dyed fabrics that can be used daily. These creations have become a fusion of contemporary art and culture and are available for customization and reproduction. It aims to bring vibrant and collaborative opportunities to the locals.
