The field of interior design endeavors to meet the physical and emotional needs of individuals within their personal living spaces. In this particular instance, the designer took into account the owner's admiration for the elegance of Oriental Zen and their wish to incorporate the unique principles of feng shui into their home. To achieve this, the designer is inspired by the Chinese ancient text, The Doctrine of the Mean, carefully considered the owner's lifestyle and preferences, and employed a contemporary residential style with the graceful flow of Oriental aesthetics to fashion a one-of-a-kind and refined abode.

As soon as you step inside, you'll notice the stunning glass artwork in the foyer, which resembles ink strokes. The area also features marble slabs and titanium-plated panels, which add a subtle oriental touch and address feng shui concerns. On the other hand, the open layout of the shared living area seamlessly blends the living room, dining room, kitchen, and other functional spaces. This allows for versatility and the ability to accommodate multiple people while still encouraging interaction between family members and guests. In addition, the designer added brown and orange leather sofas and dining chairs to provide a lively pop of color that complements the wood and gray tones and the owner's art collection. To differentiate the functional zones, the walls are marbled in varying hues, with lighter colors in the dining area and darker ones in the living room's television area. The kitchen features a long island that doubles as a food preparation space and a place to relax and make tea. To make the narrow space feel more spacious, the designer used mirrored materials on the ceiling.

Upon entering the private quarters of the residence, it is evident that every bedroom is thoughtfully designed with an external window to allow natural sunlight to permeate the space. This not only fulfills the occupants' desire for illumination but also reduces the need for artificial lighting, thereby conserving energy and decreasing carbon emissions.
