The Mu House

The project is a renovation of an old house. The designer has given a new life to the old building, blending traditional culture with modern thinking. The project is an open plan, with high ceilings and a duplex. The ironwork outlines the contours of the home, while the solid wood and gray tones present a comfortable style.
The project emphasizes the advantages of high ceilings and lighting. Large floor-to-ceiling windows allow for natural lighting, while soft gauze and blinds filter the harsh daylight to provide a softer atmosphere. The sofa area is arranged in a glass-covered area, blurring the line between inside and outside. There is no physical border or TV wall in the space, the most beautiful scenery is the green landscape and river outside the window. The river is like a green belt holding the house, which is also called a "jade belt around the waist" in Chinese Feng-Shui. The courtyard is comfortable with the scale, and when the client sits on the sofa, he can see the view of the jade belt around the waist.
