Artist in Residence

The project is for a creative couple working in the fields of design and fashion. As a result of constant communication, the design concept landed on an undulating curved ceiling movement with an open atmosphere and creative wall elements to resonate with the owner's passion for arts, trend, and style. The ceiling is designed at an slanted angle with moving curvature profile to extend, elongate, and create dramatic visual affect once you enter the space. The arches framing the doors to create a subtle connection with the ceiling gap resulting in a elegant detail. Along the windows, the louvered window blinds can allow light penetration without over exposure. Instead of designing a traditional feature wall in the heart of the living room, a green wall bookcase shelf is introduced to embrace the owner's love for nature and books. To enhance the artistic feeling of the space, a custom wall paper is applied onto the walls, and into the bedroom. At the end, all elements work seamlessly together to create an unique residence for the artist couple.
