This design blazes a trail through the traditional packaging for wedding favors, which are heartfelt gifts given to express gratitude and share the joy of newlyweds. In Chinese culture, wedding favor boxes would be considered incomplete without the symbolic cakes that hold deep significance in wedding customs. Sushi Ronghua, a time-honored establishment situated in Foshan and known for crafting wedding cakes, aims to blend tradition and contemporary aesthetics in this brand-new design, and to further captivate younger consumers on an emotional level.
The packaging, primarily red in color to align with Chinese wedding customs, creates a vibrant and joyful atmosphere for the occasion. Rather than the usual square or rectangular shapes, the outer box takes the form of a bucket bag, forming a cylindrical top-bottom structure. The red cardboard used for the exterior has been specially treated by rollers for a lychee skin texture, which restores the leather-like feel to the utmost. Intricate Loong and phoenix patterns are hot stamped in reddish-gold on the front, while the hot-stamped golden trim surrounding the lower part not only adds a touch of chicness and exquisiteness to the overall styling, but also gives prominence to the brand's logo and slogan — genuinely bringing the brand to life. Furthermore, the PU leather straps on both sides of the outer box, combined with the metal buckles, ensure a secure closure when carried. All these elements come together to create the unique packaging that aesthetically enhances wedding photography.
Opening the lid of the outer box reveals a circle of upright golden cardboard, adorned with Gesang flower patterns crafted through gold stamping and meticulous cutting. These flowers symbolize happiness, well-being, and tenacity, serving as an expression of the brand's heartfelt wishes for each user. Additionally, the pattern design on the inner paper packaging displays a vibrant scene of fireworks illuminating the starry sky, with ginkgo leaves dancing in the wind. Inside, three small boxes are neatly stacked up, each bearing the auspicious Chinese characters "Daxi" or "Shuangxi" (representing great rejoicing and double happiness respectively). This thoughtful arrangement makes the unboxing experience visually rich and delightfully surprising.
