Riverside Mansion, Ningbo

The project is located in the downtown of Ningbo, Zhejiang, China, with an overall landscape area of about 4350㎡ and an engineering cost of about 1190 RMB/㎡. The design team hoped to show a luxury life in a new way, both modern and oriental, as same as the garden that make people feel relaxed, away from the hustle and bustle of the city.

Interactive gardens for adults' relaxation and children's plant recognition was built on 2 elevated levels. The all-day children's home system was built, and combined with Darwin's exploration of nature as a guide, linked with the overhead floors to create a funny and natural learning community exploration camp. The designers hoped that children could enhance the awareness of the natural world while playing, so that they could have a more three-dimensional perception of nature and kept in mind deeply.

Challenge: Upgrade the quality of life in a limited space, such as the homecoming feeling, the quality of life, and the interactive space for children.

What is solved for the client: Create a leading living experience without high cost.

Sustainability: All designs will be used permanently without any demolition.

Energy saving and environmental protection/greening: The central courtyard becomes more comfortable through greening and falling waterfall for microclimate cooling and regulating the humidity of microclimate.
