HOSPITAL OF STOMATOLOGY OF SUN YAT-SEN UNIVERSITY

This is a renovation project. The Hospital of Stomatology of Sun Yat-sen University is a tertiary specialty hospital located in Guangzhou, Guangdong Province. The hospital integrates education, medical treatment, and scientific research in the field of stomatology. Constructed in the 1980s, the hospital buildings and structures boast traditional and obsolete interior design and facades, lacking distinctive features. These buildings are faced with the problem of aging over time. The indoor layout and circulation need further improvement. Furthermore, the interior design lacks aesthetic appeal and charm.
In line with the hospital's aim of becoming a top-notch domestic and world-renowned high-ranking specialty stomatological hospital, the renovation project is inspired by the concepts of "biomimicry" and "smart healthcare". The renovation plans integrate elements such as advanced technologies, human-centered care, and natural ecology to optimize the diagnostic and treatment process and circulation. Thus, the project can form a friendly medical environment that harmoniously combines future-oriented technological innovation, professional medical services, and the distinctive identity of the hospital.
