This is a partial renovation project located in the permanent exhibition area of the National Museum of Taiwan History has recently completed a renewal project for their exhibition area, which is entitled "Our Land Our People: The Story of Taiwan". Despite facing budgetary constraints, the team managed to make significant adjustments and partially renew the existing exhibition base. One of the most significant challenges was to ensure that the integration of old and new elements was seamless and did not create a sense of disruption. This is a noteworthy achievement as it represents the first renewal project for the exhibition area in a decade.

As our society and people's perspectives continue to evolve, it is imperative that we adapt our exhibition areas to remain relevant. While the original large-scale scenery of this exhibition area has been maintained, the two thematic zones at the beginning and end have undergone significant changes to reflect the current times and funding availability. Furthermore, all graphics have been meticulously rewritten and redesigned, and numerous exhibits and multimedia applications have been added throughout the exhibition area to enhance visitors' experience.

Throughout the design process, the team meticulously examined the exhibition area's initial shortcomings and assessed the resources at their disposal. Drawing upon their extensive decade-long expertise, they laid a solid foundation for their current planning endeavors. One notable revision made by the team was the shift in focus from "multiple ethnic groups" to "dynamic social history." Additionally, they reimagined the "museum for all" concept to highlight not only the relationship between the individual and the collective but also the perspective of the common people and the subjectivity of the indigenous people.

The team behind the history exhibition has recognized that the extensive amount of text and information presented can be overwhelming for visitors and may lead to fatigue. To combat this, the exhibition has been designed with various interactive components, including comics, games, multimedia, and tactile installations, to break up the static viewing experience and keep visitors engaged.
