Song Hotel Chongqing

The interior design of the hotel is inspired by the memory of Chongqing. While respecting the aesthetic foundation of Chinese construction order and symmetry, the design, with column-and-tie construction of stilted building with extremely ethnic characteristics and mountain city as the prototype, gets the shape of folded layers as the decoration structure; with folk musical instruments of Bashu characteristics and Shu embroidery as decorative elements, the design aims to create a low-key luxury space giving people a special experience at Wanda Vista Chongqing.

The three sides of the lobby are illuminated and integrated with the outdoor landscape. According to the architectural structure, the space is divided into three levels: the lobby lounge and reception area on the left and right, and the shared space in the middle. They are separated by column-and-tie construction and artistic metal embroidery abstract painting themed on the impression of mountain city. The water-feature chandeliers evolved from ethnic musical instruments of Bayu style are located in the center of the lobby layer by layer. The design combines the virtual and the real. The space is based on natural materials and grey and white colors of stilted buildings, and dotted with red colors to express the bold character of Chongqing people. On the whole, the space presents the regional culture and also provides a relaxing holiday experience.

The guestroom design mainly expresses a relaxing space atmosphere with a feeling of Zen. It continues the column-and-tie construction of stilted building and slope roof used in the public area; the extremely regional representative treasures of Rongchang (folding fan, grass cloth, Antao pottery ) as well as handicrafts of Ba-shu culture and Liangping curtain paintings culturally decorate the space in the form of artworks.
