CANAL GARDEN

Canal Garden is located in Tongzhou District — the sub-center of Beijing, with a total area of approximately 4,600 square meters. Overlooking the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal to the north and adjacent to the Universal Beijing Resort to the south, the project boasts unique ecological and cultural resources, based on which, the design explores the relationship between humans and nature, leading people to experience a leisurely lifestyle in a holiday atmosphere. It is created to be a new urban classic — "Forest Life Aesthetics Center".
The design integrates the landscape elements of "Kyoto fashion, hotel quality, forest resort and natural garden", telling a story of an urban journey around the valleys and forests, by the streams as well as under the stars. Through multidisciplinary design that involves architecture, landscape, and interior, it combines ultimate nature with exquisite design, creating an immersive experience space for people to pursue the desired urban life and inspire infinite imagination within the limited space.
Canal Garden is an innovative practice under the background of urbanization and an exploration of ultimate natural living spaces. Through deliberate empty space and orderly spatial structure, it evokes people's yearning for holiday life, thus heading for a romantic natural journey in the bustling city.
