2022 Jiaoxi Hot Spring Lantern Festival

This magnificent festival is a harmonious blend of the local hot spring culture, scrumptious food, and breathtaking light art. The underlying design concept revolves around the captivating theme of "Cosmonauts of the Sea," with the primary goal of creating an exclusive and memorable streetscape in the hot springs village through mesmerizing light decorations. The festival aims to initiate intriguing discussions and draw numerous people to the area for city marketing and publicity purposes, as well as to invigorate the tourism, arts, and culture industries.

The event’s lighting design is truly captivating, utilizing the fundamental principles of "point, line, and surface" to create a mesmerizing experience. The use of various colors is nothing short of magical, as it transports visitors into an enchanting underwater world. The centerpiece of the plaza, the "Bubbly Fairytale," is an exquisite and visually stunning design that resembles a hot spring fish exhaling steam. Standing at a majestic one-story-high, it boasts multiple layers of overlapping circles of light, making it the event's most prominent landmark. Adjacent to the plaza is the breathtaking "Fish Corridor," which creates an "undersea tunnel" with the concept of a "Aquarium." The walkway area is filled with an array of colorful and dreamy lighting, creating a serene and blissful atmosphere that's hard to resist.

This project endeavors to animate art through showcasing light art installations that augment the nighttime ambiance. Furthermore, it places emphasis on environmental preservation by integrating low-temperature, energy-efficient LED lighting throughout the vicinity. By utilizing large-scale light projections in conjunction with the square's distinctive placement, it produces stunning works of art while lessening the amount of waste gas generated during construction and manufacturing. Our aim is to both appreciate the aesthetics of the light environment and conserve the planet.
