To create a serene, cosy, and stylish retreat for city dwellers seeking a high quality of life, the customisation scheme begins by infusing the modern home space with a light French style that exudes romance and simplicity. This design approach provides a peaceful and comfortable living environment amidst the hustle and bustle of the city.
Unlike the traditional French style, this project abandons the typical arch design, combining the cosy cream colours with the design language of deconstructivism. The primary colours utilised are cream, beige, and other soft, natural tones that reflect the sophistication of the French style. The black and white luxury stone texture of the rock plate elements, along with the refined lines of the back plate, add a decorative touch that further enriches the visual appeal. Meanwhile, the design technique of protruding and hiding between the cabinet block and wall panels adds a sense of volume and depth.
The designer meticulously selected materials to create a comfortable living experience. Water-based paints add a smooth and luxurious feel to the cabinets and walls as primary decorative materials. Water-based paints are a better alternative to oil-based paints. They use water instead of organic solvents, which makes them low in VOCs and free from unpleasant odours. Moreover, they dry quickly, allowing residents to move in immediately after painting. It solves the demand for health and environmental protection.
