Graceful “Boya” is one of the lotus varieties, cherished for its aesthetic appeal; “Danqing”, originally two pigments commonly used in ancient China, later refers to the painting art. Zhao Ji, Emperor Huizong of the Song Dynasty, was highly skilled in calligraphy and painting. His creation, Auspicious Cranes, showcases the essence of traditional Chinese culture, and conveys good wishes for auspiciousness, longevity, and purity. Drawing inspiration from all above, the Chinese Baijiu packaging takes “Danqing Boya” as the theme, which integrates elements from Auspicious Cranes into the square wooden outer box and the gourd-shaped bottle to realize a simple yet elegant style with a sense of liveliness. In this way, the packaging boasts both profound cultural significance and high collectible value.
The bottle is designed in the shape of a gourd. As a time-honored utensil, gourds symbolizes auspiciousness and prosperity for its phonetic association with “fortune and wealth” in Chinese, and its naturally hollow interior can serve as a practical container for liquid. The painted soaring cranes, with each one meticulously detailed in terms of their feathers and postures, echo the auspicious-cloud-like decorations on the both side of the bottle, to embody noble and unsullied, elegant, ethereal characters of cranes, whereby to suggest the upscale position and premium quality of Chinese Baijiu inside.
The Chinese Baijiu packaging, able to be a vivid cultural symbol, allows consumers to immerse themselves in the distant legend of auspicious cranes, so that they can experience the charm of profound and rich culture and history while tasting the fine drink.
