Alibaba Cloud Pin Trading Centre is located at the commercial zone in the Hangzhou Asian Games Village. It provides an experiential place of pin trading for athletes, technical officials and media professionals during the 19th Asian Games.

Alibaba Cloud Pin Trading Centre is a fusion of the unique Song Dynasty aesthetics rooted in Hangzhou and intelligent digital technology. It applies AIGC technology to generate a digital twin of the Asian Games Village that features Song-style aesthetics visually. Meanwhile, it’s linked with the database of Energy Expert - a carbon management platform launched by Alibaba Cloud, which invites athletes to engage in low-carbon actions in the Asian Games Village through registering an account on the platform and visualizes low-carbon data on the large screen in an artistic way. It’s intended to offer athletes a pin trading experience with Hangzhou features, and to enrich their cultural life within the Village.

The pin trading centre presents the distinctive tenderness and romance unique to Jiangnan Region in a simple manner. In the form of lotus flower and lotus leaf, the customized installations break the conventional “people-to-people” pin trading experience, but provide a new smart way through people-machine interaction.

The pin trading centre is a carbon-neutral building, which adheres to the concepts of “green”, “low carbon” and “sustainable” at all stages from design to construction, operation and later dismantling and waste disposal. During the design stage, it adopted a “green” and minimalist design concept, to reduce the use of building materials, and on the other hand, to integrate with the surrounding natural environment, appearing beautiful, simple and elegant.

At the construction phase, the project maximized the use of low-carbon and green building materials. During operation, it resorts to digital means for promotion and pin trading and adopts “low-carbon” pins to reduce carbon emissions. The dismantling stage will ensure the recycle and harmless disposal of building waste to the greatest extent. After a series of carbon reduction measures, the minimized carbon emissions will be offset by purchasing high-quality carbon credits generated from wind energy, thereby realizing carbon neutrality.
