As a leading brand in memory solutions in the globe, Lexar has always been committed to developing storage products and solutions with innovative thinking since its foundation. However, there existed some problems in its previous packaging: the brand logo was placed on different positions and easily obscured on shelves; the contrast between the product images and their backgrounds was not sharp enough; cluttered text prevented users from easily accessing information; the packaging failed to suggest the upscale position and premium quality of the products. To address that, Lexar has broken away from conventional thoughts, and introduced the brand-new packaging series after meticulous consideration and attention to detail.
The packaging series takes “professionalism, uniformity, and differentiation” as the core of its design. A black background with the brand logo placed at the bottom aims to ensure a uniform brand visual identity. The horizontal line and vertically arranged elements adopt gold, silver or blue to clearly and visually represent different product series; product images and specially designed patterns behind help to differentiate each product in a series. The horizontal line, inspired by ribbon used in the packaging for high-end gifts, gives a sense of ritual and highlights a high-class style.
Additionally, the packaging series places a strong emphasis on intuitive information delivery, which perfectly shows the features and functions of different products simply through the concise text and clean layout. Such a design provides visual facilitation for shoppers to distinguish among various products and choose the favourite quickly, contributing to a more efficient shopping experience.
