Lotus Bay Restaurant

Founded in 1998, Lotus Bay Restaurant is located in Beijing Jingling Hotel between the western 2nd ring and the western 3rd ring. The restaurant was named after lotus, the provincial flower of Hunan, and features Hunan culture. The design of the restaurant keeps the dignity and elegance of traditional Hunan culture and meets the modern requirements of dining. Through the combination of traditional and modern elements, the design creates a harmonious and comfortable ambience with a clear theme and a distinctive Oriental atmosphere.   

The names of the private rooms are connected with traditional Chinese culture and spirit. Some of them come from Hunan culture, such as Baling Room, Yunmeng Room, Yueyang Room, and Dongting Room. The decoration of the rooms is rich in local characteristics. When dining in the rooms, the customers feel like they were in Hunan. Some of the private room names come from poetic conceptions, such as forest spring, autumn water, mountain shadow, and cloudy peaks. The decoration of these rooms features mountains. When enjoying delicious food, the customers feel like they were in a forest with the wind blowing.

As a renovation project, it took a lot of effort from saving funds to reflecting the artistic and humanistic values of the entire design. In terms of utility functions, the design focuses on the connection between motion and stillness as well as the connection between form and color. The connection between motion and stillness is displayed in the division of the function areas. The design took into account how the customers feel as they move and look around the restaurant. The details are thoughtful. Through artistic composition principles, the direction of spatial lines, a proper proportion between cold and warm materials, and the orderly layers of the structure, the design perfectly displays the connection between form and color. The deep-colored wooden decoration is the basic element of the new Chinese-style space. Wired glass, mirror stainless steel, the lights, and the other signs of the place altogether create a three-dimensional effect and make a superb impression on the customers.
