The project thoughtfully reimagined the layout of an old villa constructed over a decade ago, to cater to the needs of contemporary living and ensure a high-standard living experience. One key challenge of the project was how to integrate the existing load-bearing walls and columns with new space functions while optimizing the finishes of these structures. The first floor is dedicated to living and dining functions. The second floor features a spacious master suite, two kids’ rooms, and a shared reading room. The basement emphasizes social entertainment, accommodating comprehensive amenities, including a living room, a water bar, a tea area, an audio-video room, a fitness area, a hot spring pool, and a laundry room.

The overall design boldly embraces a minimalist American style, which is rarely seen in the market, seamlessly blending it with the essence of understated luxury. The elegance of American style converges with the sophistication and modern flair of understated luxury, endowing the home with a distinctive identity. Amidst the unparalleled rapid urbanization in China, the market is inundated with various design styles vying for popularity on social media. However, the project’s design team doesn't pursuit an instagrammble style. Instead, they aspire to authentically craft a people-centered space layout, creating an enchanting space that accommodates varied moods, allowing the residents to enjoy both solitude and family time, offering them a noble, luxury living experience.

The project adopts light beige and gray tones as the primary palette, complemented by warm gray oak veneers. The space is accentuated with dark-hued materials in certain areas, which are combined with indirect lighting to evoke a sense of restraint and tranquility. The soft furnishings incorporate noble burgundy as the thematic color, infusing a distinctive identity into the space. Meticulous attention is given to the interplay of matching, materials, and colors, resulting in rich layering and lending a unique and visually pleasing decorative effect to each space.
