Mobile Live Streaming Room——Sustainable Design of Stacked Ca

In the post-pandemic era, amidst a slow economic recovery and unstable demand, designers need to adapt and solve new problems while creating more possibilities within limited space. Hence, this project introduces a multifunctional folding cabinet that utilizes innovative furniture design and a low-cost modular system to meet the dynamic operational needs of the market.The demand for personalized custom furniture is steadily increasing, and folding cabinets in the market face three main issues: non-recyclability, limited storage space, and constraints in design and appearance. Therefore, seizing the opportunity in the folding cabinet market, the project focuses on the popular sectors of e-sports and live streaming for design research. By studying the real experiences of e-sports and live streaming users, the project has identified user demands: large storage capacity, the ability to disassemble and utilize certain modules, and the flexibility to arrange the cabinet. These demands will be the key focus of the design.

Our product is targeted for live streaming scenarios such as outdoor broadcasting, indoor broadcasting, and educational studios. It is also suitable for indoor and outdoor e-sports spaces ranging from 8 square meters to approximately 40 square meters, and can be used in public spaces, commercial spaces, and residential spaces. The innovative core concepts of the design include sustainability, mobility, and ease of assembly. In terms of sustainability, environmentally friendly materials are used, and a complete recycling system is designed. Based on the design of basic modular units, two differently sized boxes with wheels are provided. The wooden board module on the top of the cabinet can be adjusted in length as needed, and one side of the cabinet can rotate. All components can be stored in this box to ensure mobility. In terms of ease of assembly, all modular units can be quickly assembled by taking them out of the box, and all components are simplified as much as possible.

The multifunctional folding cabinet, with its unique design and functionality, meets the modern demand for customized furniture, maximizes the utilization of space resources, caters to the needs of different activities, and enhances the versatility and efficiency of the space.
