The "Shanqing" brand holds a rich history of low-alcohol brewing and focuses on the preservation of Chinese cultural heritage while maintaining control over every detail of the brewing process. In line with these ideals, the packaging of the brand's fruit wine is designed with the key concepts of "culture, innovation, and quality" in mind, with the aim of presenting consumers with a visual effect that combines traditional charm with modern features.
The packaging illustration incorporates natural landscapes with Chinese culture, showcasing a scene from the Dunhuang culture of flying apsaras with flowers. This highlights the cultural concept of the harmony between man and nature. In addition, the illustration features fairies dancing or relaxing in the forest, presenting flowers and fruits that can be brewed into exquisite wine, emphasizing the precious and exceptional quality of the fruit wine while carrying forward the cultural connotations of nature and history. The illustration's bright and fresh colour scheme further conveys the fruit wine's refreshing flavour. Each flavour has a corresponding colour scheme for the ingredients, providing clear and intuitive guidance for users.
Traditional Chinese caved windows inspire the label outlines, while the background of the illustration draws on the shape of the ornamental perforated windows in Suzhou Gardens, increasing the image's depth and creating a sense between voids and solids. The flavour label on the illustration is also designed in the shape of a window frame, further adding to the classical flavour.
Furthermore, the product packaging design is primarily simple and modern, with square colour blocks overlapping each other. The base colour of the overlapping area is white, with product information and illustrations printed on them, providing clear and distinctive features that exhibit the beauty of modern art.
