This is a community-style residential project, with the total floor area of about 562 square meters. The site allows the building to have large windows on every side, good ventilation and light, and the advantage of the view of the outside garden. It appeals to be able to achieve a free and leisurely lifestyle through design. First of all, we maintain the visual penetrability through the open pattern, and do appropriate planning on each layout unit, so that each side and corner has window views, and make the indoor-outdoor connection possible. The main functions of each area are formed by multiple arch-doors designs, which at the same time, these multiple arch-doors also create a focusing effect like a frame. Whether it is indoor or outdoor, the functions of the space units are clear and independent, but the boundaries between them are blurred, which also makes people have more possibilities in their activities. Besides, it also allows light and air circulation possible which will enhance a healthy living environment and reduce energy consumption. This residential building has a good physical condition and environment. We try our best to make minimal changes in the indoor area but maximize its advantages. In this open space, “light” and “human activity” are the most important elements. We use pure white color o that natural light can penetrate the entire indoor area, provide sufficient light for the activities. Lights and shadows also create a hidden medium that connects various areas. Through the changing of the light and shadow at different times, the clients can perceive natural changes and interweave with people walking behavior to create more spatial rhythmic expressions, creating a memory.
