Tranquil Mist

The name of this project, "Tranquil Mist", aims to create a sense of tranquility and healing for the homeowners, just like the distant mountains. The designer chose blue which symbolizes calmness and paired it with a dark grey braided carpet that is comfortable and easy to clean to create a calm atmosphere. The open social area brightens the dining room and kitchen.
In this home designed with the retired couple in mind, the designer used a variety of elements to emphasize this idea. Curves and smooth lines reduce sharpness and rigidity and symbolize harmony and continuity in life. The curves are like clouds and waves. Their undulating shapes create interesting light and shadows that echo the natural landscape outside. One feels the echo with the ecology. Retirement is a wonderful time to withdraw from the hustle and bustle of the city and return to inner peace.
