J·COFFEE is nestled in Hohhot, Nei Mongolia, serving as a multifaceted restaurant that seamlessly blends coffee, afternoon tea, and local folk flavors. Guided by the aesthetic concept of "colliding retro with trendiness," the design team has crafted an ambiance that exudes American retro charm while infusing it with fashionable contemporary elements and unique local folk characteristics, aiming to showcase the distinctive culinary culture of Inner Mongolia to customers from all walks of life.
The "J" in J·COFFEE stands for "集" (jí), which first appeared in the Shang Dynasty and originally referred to a tree gathering many birds, later extending to signify gathering or assembly. Birds also symbolize freedom and unconstraint, echoing the design team's desire for urban dwellers to feel similarly liberated and able to enjoy life at J·COFFEE, whether alone or with companions. This concept extends to the restaurant's private dining rooms, adorned with abundant natural materials such as wood, primitive red bricks, metal, and glass, providing each customer with a unique and enjoyable dining experience.
Furthermore, to complement the restaurant's style, the murals and urban architectural structures feature hand-painted, retro-inspired forms with folk characteristics, elevating the atmosphere and paying homage to classics while expressing aspirations for the future. Paired with bright lighting and bold, vivid colors, J·COFFEE cultivates a relaxed yet dynamic dining ambiance.
