Focusing on complete renewability of the materials, the packaging for Herborist Dual Dendrobium Reviving & Moisturizing Series puts a strong emphasis on environmental consideration: the paper box adopts corn paper, an eco-friendly paper made from corn fiber, while soy ink is used for the printing of color and text, contributing to sustainable production.
Following the idea of sustainable development, the packaging, taking Dendrobium as the theme, links the packaging and the product together. The packaging containing Dendrobium seeds can be directly buried in the soil, and its fully degradable materials will decompose to release nutrients for the growth of new plants. This enables the packaging to be integrated into the ecosystem, and brings users closer to nature.
Taking into account the brand concept of herbal skincare, the packaging is designed based on Dendrobium (core ingredient of the product series) to embody the vitality of natural plants. Drawing inspiration from Shuowen Jiezi (an essential reference systematically explaining and analyzing the origin and structure of Chinese characters), it incorporates Dendrobium depicted with a simple brushwork, and splits the Chinese characters for Dendrobium into strokes for reconstruction, with the dot (one kind of strokes) designed to shape like a drop of water, thus realizing harmonious symbiosis of herbal elements and Chinese characters. Such a design interprets traditional culture in a modern manner, and highlights the unique charm of Dendrobium.
