The overall space is dominated by a minimalist pure white palette, reflecting the client’s sophisticated lifestyle and appreciation for vintage items. This blend of old and new elements creates a unique design language that exudes French retro charm. Functional design elements enrich the public space, catering to the client's needs for a cozy living environment while maintaining a stylish flair for entertaining clients and friends. The project centers around a newly built residence with low ceilings that initially create a visual constraint, by employed minimalistic techniques to reduce the sense of visual confinement. In the public area, a nearly four-meter-long kitchen island is planned, with an open design that seamlessly connects the living room and kitchen. This not only enhances the visual spaciousness but also creates an ideal setting for entertaining guests and hosting coffee sharing sessions. The island is further elevated with a Quasar pendant light, featuring geometric minimalism with its combination of light panels and metal strips, serving as a striking visual focal point. In the intermediary relaxation area, the sliding door is a standout feature, hand-painted by an artist in a white, distressed gradient style, and framed with decorative moldings to elevate its visual appeal. Vintage-style hardware adds a touch of historical charm, creating a French retro atmosphere. The use of soft sheer curtains provides optimum ventilation and adds a romantic ambiance, effectively reducing the need for air conditioning. Additionally, the storage cabinets for guests' bags and shoes on either side of the TV wall, with their black bodies contrasting sharply with the overall white space and integrated linear lighting, provide a visually pleasing experience akin to the placement of items in a luxury boutique. The flooring is designed to be flat and level, eliminating height differences, allows for easy movement and access for wheelchair users, accommodating the needs of all age groups. This design approach ensures that the living space is comfortable and convenient for everyone, from children to the elderly.
