PU JIANG XIAO GUAN

Pujiang Xiaoguan is located in Pujiang, Jinhua, Zhejiang. It is a Chinese restaurant that focuses on local fusion cuisine. In the current process of urbanization in China, reinforced concrete, cold glass boxes, and fast-paced work and life, the excessive commercial environment has made people become tired, gradually tending towards a natural and relaxed slow life. Picking chrysanthemums under the eastern fence and leisurely seeing the southern mountains may be the essence of our lives. We should slow down and do some long-term things. In our communication with clients, we also found that they also hope to do some long-term things to attract repeat customers, rather than a fast and prefabricated catering concept. For our Da Ke Design, the space design concept is also aimed at slowing down the pace of the space, making it more comfortable, natural, and worth staying for multiple times to savor. At the beginning of the design, we confirmed the materials with the client. There should not be relatively industrialized and integrated materials, and the most essential and primitive materials should be selected. Water washed sand, solid wood coating, bamboo and raw stone are used. We hope this space will be more textured and memorable the longer it lasts. Entering the room is a small foyer used for pre dinner receptions, where you can enjoy tea, appreciate dried branches, or chat with friends about the local culture and taste local snacks. I just hope that a small space that can pause for a moment is no longer a space with strong purpose, but can slow down, relax, and then taste our delicious food. Walking through the relaxed and leisurely dining area of the tea room, the dining area suddenly became bright, surrounded by a space surrounded by rough washed sand low walls, paired with natural wood and locally decorated crooked neck old trees, pushing cups and changing cups. This is what the small restaurant wants to present as a comfortable, pure, and slow lifestyle, just like the ingredients in the small restaurant, naturally and truly savoring.
