As the IP image and central atrium core art installation at Wanda Plaza, Wukesong, "SONGSONG" draws inspiration from the character "松" (Song), representing pine trees commonly found in the Wukesong area. The pine tree symbolizes resilience and upright characteristics, while the accompanying "松鼠" (squirrel) embodies its spirit and image. Extracting stylized features and injecting an understanding of the brand and space, the overall concept of the installation is born. It serves as a connection between reality and virtuality, with a genuine reflection in the unreal experience.
Diverging from the traditional impression of squirrels, "SONGSONG" employs a gentle and adorable squirrel as the core subject, with the tail and ground space composed of multiple colored spheres, symbolizing infinite extension. Similar to Yayoi Kusama's expression of the infinite dream in her polka-dot works, the multiple extending colors represent the diverse and all-encompassing commercial space, conveying a philosophy of free and colorful living.
Based on the brand recognition and emotional transmission brought by interactivity, experiential elements, and symbolism in consumer scenarios, the installation utilizes a plush technique with a soft texture to soften the spatial structure and convey a warm and relaxed mood. Additionally, the installation features interactive mechanical design, with "SONGSONG" nodding, shaking its ears, and blinking to greet visitors, creating a playful atmosphere in the details and providing a real perceptual experience for the space.
