Tranquility

The name "Tranquility" draws inspiration from a deep understanding of seeking serenity in a bustling city. The design’s purpose is to create a space that alleviates stress, allowing each resident to experience calm and simplicity, as if distanced from the chaos and disturbances of the outside world.

The design is anchored in earthy tones. Gray-scale artistic paint and wooden furniture embody the essence of wabi-sabi. There are no extravagant finishes or complex soft furnishings. The designer begins with simplicity, meticulously shaping the space’s contours. Natural light, filtered through sheer curtains, evenly illuminates the raw textures on the walls, while matte steel-brushed wood and wooden flooring create a warm and tranquil atmosphere.

"Even in simplicity, there should be richness in layers." The designer intentionally used a protruding wall panel behind the TV instead of a regular TV cabinet. Functionally, it conceals cables; aesthetically, it serves as a focal point in the space. Combined with the plants placed in the corners and the artwork at the end of the walkway, these elements collectively construct an ideal living scene. The homeowner hopes that returning home each day will offer a sense of harmony with nature, providing a restful sanctuary for the soul and returning to the essence of living.
