A Fresh Start to Happiness

The ambiance of a space is crafted through the delicate interplay of its layout, flow, light and shadow, color palette, and choice of furnishings. In the pursuit of creating the perfect living environment for the homeowner, the designer delved into their personal preferences and life story, while also considering the activity needs of their beloved pets. The original fragmented layout was reworked, incorporating practical elements such as light colors, warm wood tones, soft curved features, and a subtractive design approach. Through the thoughtful reorganization of the space and its elements, the designers succeeded in infusing the home with a sense of emotional warmth, resulting in a comfortable, stress-free, and harmonious living space for the homeowners and their furry companions.

The interior space was carefully designed with a rich palette of earthy colors, complemented by the play of natural light, creating a cozy and inviting atmosphere for the residence. To address the challenge of the original layout with excessive beams and pillars that resulted in fragmented and awkward spaces, the designer opted for the use of curved walls, ceilings, and glass cabinets. These design elements not only softened the overall look of the space but also improved safety by preventing potential collisions. Moreover, the designer also took into account the needs of the homeowner's pets, incorporating spacious activity areas, platforms of varying heights, and durable, pet-friendly materials such as waterproof, wear-resistant flooring and cat-scratching fabrics. The result is a thoughtfully designed space that offers both the homeowner and their pets a comfortable and welcoming environment.

To foster a healthy and sustainable living environment, the project emphasizes a subtractive design approach and integrates environmentally friendly practices and green building materials. Rather than focusing on excessive decoration, the design prioritizes functionality to avoid resource wastage. The inclusion of external windows in both public and private areas not only floods the spaces with natural light but also reduces the reliance on artificial lighting, leading to energy savings and a decrease in carbon emissions.
