Nomadic Inflatable Camping Tent

Camping tents and traditional Kyrgyz yurts share a high degree of similarity in terms of usage scenarios, internal structure, and exterior design. Drawing on existing equipment and lifestyle habits, we have created a culturally distinctive solution for short trips and relaxation, tailored for young families. Through our research, we learned that local families often take short trips and gather in the suburbs on weekends. They expressed a desire for a product that is both convenient for travel and retains the elements and spirit of traditional yurts.

The dome of a nomadic yurt symbolizes the starry universe, and we have recreated this element at the top of the tent. This tent uses inflatable air columns as its supporting structure, with inflation powered by an electric air pump. Once deflated, it can be easily stored in a car trunk. The tent can be set up by one person, with inflation taking just a few minutes, which is much quicker than the traditional yurt, which requires dozens of people and takes several minutes to assemble.

In terms of materials, the tent features transparent TPU, mesh fabric, and Oxford cloth layered together to form multi-layered doors and windows. Reflective strips have been added to the fabric, and the tent’s color palette uses earthy tones to blend the nomadic wilderness style with a futuristic sense of technology. This design honors tradition while reimagining products for modern living and travel.
