The gray space represents a highly rational expression. The owner of this case is an elite lawyer who desires a clean and pure home space without wall decorations, but rather endowed with good spatial form. After communicating with the owner, the first thing that came to my mind was the gray in my memory. Gray relaxes people, captures memorable points, and leaves a lasting impression.

Mobilizing the mood of the space is the second key point in this case, I hope that when the owner returns home, he can quickly transition from his busy work to a state of tranquility. Therefore, in the entrance hall, I used a dark-colored integrated design for the walls, ceiling, and floor, creating a sense of boundary with the living room. At the same time, the entrance hall serves as a transition area between indoors and outdoors, making the idea of coming home even more appealing. One bedroom was removed to retain part of the double-height space, and a spiral staircase was installed. This not only solved the circulation but also perfectly integrated the spiral staircase with the curved double-height area, creating a beautiful spatial form. The elliptical ceiling echoes the curved lines of the double-height area, adding a sense of solemnity to the space. In this case, rather than showcasing the design, it is more about presenting an extreme lifestyle—clean, refreshing, open, and simple modern living.
