With the rapid urbanization of China and the accelerating trend of aging populations, there is a growing demand for elderly housing in major cities. Seniors, particularly those who are retired professionals, require living spaces that not only accommodate their daily routines but also encourage social interaction. The core objective of the Lifelong Fairytale Residences is to provide a warm and vibrant living environment for these elderly residents.

The project is located in Fengtai District, Beijing, adjacent to the Lize Business District, offering an excellent geographical position with abundant amenities and convenient transportation. The site is just 500 meters from the nearest subway station, making it easily accessible for the elderly. Moreover, it is within 3 kilometers of renowned hospitals such as Beijing Tiantan Hospital and Fengtai Hospital, ensuring excellent healthcare accessibility. The surrounding area features multiple parks and green spaces, providing rich scenic resources. The site is bordered by existing residential areas to the south, planned residential zones to the east and north, and a planned kindergarten to the west. The total construction area of the project is 49,000 square meters, with 37,000 square meters above ground housing assisted and independent living units, a medical rehabilitation center, dining facilities, and more. The 12,000 square meters of underground space is organized around a sunken courtyard, hosting a multifunctional hall, gym, and spa for the elderly.

This Lifelong Fairytale Residences aims to establish a Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) that offers living solutions for independent, semi-assisted, and fully-assisted elderly residents, catering to their needs at different stages of life. The project is built on three main design principles:

1. Creating a Sunlit Living Environment: Respecting the daily habits of the elderly by maximizing the use of natural light to enhance comfort.

2. Providing Open and Shared Public Spaces: Designing multifunctional public areas that support independent living and social interaction among residents.

3. Implementing Flexible and Adaptable Spaces: Optimizing spatial layout to improve efficiency and accommodate diverse functional needs.

Through these design principles, the Lifelong Fairytale Residences creates a vibrant and interactive living environment for seniors.
