Shenzhen New Marine City Ecological Restoration Park

The ecological restoration park is located in the Pearl River Estuary area, adjacent to the original mangrove ecological zone and next to a busy urban viaduct. The landscape design plan follows the "One Health" life community restoration concept from three dimensions, considering environmental health, human health, and animal health. Meanwhile, it forms a nature-based solution by using natural elements, ecological methods, and adhering to natural orders, and then diversifies functional zones, reshapes the terrain, restores vegetation, and repairs the shoreline. The site will construct diverse ecological spaces with natural authenticity, such as waterfront wetlands, rain gardens, wild amusement parks, and forest barriers, ensuring the connectivity of ecological wetland water systems and restoring the integrity of regional ecosystems. By skillfully utilizing elements like natural views, biological resources, and ecological materials, the plan creates a multi-layered landscape configuration integrating urban scenery, water scenery, forest scenery, and sound scenery. This kind of design enriches people's natural sensory experiences and meets diverse usage needs for blue and green spaces. The design also reasonably addresses the relationship with municipal facilities, creates a vibrant coast, and forms a shared natural space for humans and wildlife with low intervention.
