The postpartum care center was originated from the traditional Chinese postpartum rituals and care practices, as it emphasizes that birth mothers shall have sufficient rest and nutrition to restore their health and vitality during the first month after birth. So the design of this project emphasizes on giving highly attentive care to mothers during this period of postpartum recovery, much like the degree of care given to new-born babies in this establishment.
The design concept of this project originated from the emphasis on the pampering care and treatment for women in postpartum period. As inspired by the ideal of Love, the overall corporate image design conveyed the origin and legacy of Love.
The designer designed the twin heart-shaped rose-gold-colored logo, as the larger heart representing husbands’ affection for their wives who shall be spoiled like queens, and the smaller heart represents the babies in their mothers’ warm embrace. With the meaning of logo, the overall interior comprises mainly of white marble that represents the pure love for new lives, infused with the rose-gold colors articulating the spoiling affection for the mothers, complemented by the nature-tone of green color series in conjunction with warm timber materials of an ambiance filled with love.
This is a corporate identity design project encompassing interior design, corporate logo, business cards, carry-bag, etc., even including furniture designed for nursing mothers, all of which were to exhibit the love and care towards the postnatal mothers and babies.
There is a sliding door designed of each room, using to ensure privacy during mothers’ resting and nursing times, and to against the noise of the corridor. The mother-children bedrooms designed for mothers and their elder children to sleep in, while playroom for greeting other visiting children.
The designer generated a humble yet glamorous design styling through the earth-tone color scheme, warm timber, mosaic metal and white marble material, in voicing our intention to cherish the mothers and very pure love to new-born babies. The planning of spatial functions, circulation paths, and furniture configuration all demonstrated design considerations for post-birth mothers and babies.
