Graceful Ode

The liquor packaging series, inspired by ancient literati gatherings centred around liquor drinking and poem composing, introduces Chinese poetry into its design, aiming to enables users to deeply experience the elegance and charm of traditional culture when they are drinking the liquor.

The packaging series, with its themes named after three typical classifications of Chinese poetry, namely feng (wind), ya (elegant) and song (eulogy), integrates the three Chinese characters and ancient calligraphy, which creates a unique visual symbol that marries Chinese calligraphy and Chinese painting, highlighting profound cultural significance. The 3D characters complemented by the horizontal textures, reminiscent of Chinese calligraphy on rice paper, perfectly blend artistic allure and modern craftsmanship, offering a unique tactile experience and a strong sense of visual layering.

As for color selection, the design team has meticulously selected Chinese traditional colors to match different themes. The feng-themed packaging utilizes the gradient turquoise green that exudes inclusiveness and freedom, suitable for friend gatherings or family reunions; the ya-themed packaging designed with the warm and calm beige, exquisite and elegant, is an ideal choice for formal business banquets or high-end gifts; the dark yellow song-themed packaging creates a noble, solemn atmosphere, which is applicable to major events such as festivals and weddings.

Additionally, the serrations at the top of the bottle cap resemble rolling hills, symbolizing the beautiful rhythm of poetry and echoing ancient literati’s passion for climbing high and composing poems. Such a design, as a tribute to tradition, invites users to embark on a contemplative journey towards culture when they unscrew the cap.
