THE SOURCE OF TIANYUAN

The public artwork "THE SOURCE OF TIANYUAN" was unveiled at OnePalace Shenzhen Center Complex. Strategically positioned at the intersection of residential, commercial and office areas, it explores the harmony and coexistence between the noble qualities of high-end residences and the diversified needs of commercialization with its unique artistic language, becoming the spotlight of the public art intervention project.

"THE SOURCE OF TIANYUAN" is jointly created by famous Taiwan paper-cutting artist Qiu Yuwen and creative light sculpture artist Alvin Zhang, which takes Qiu Yuwen's iconic paper-cutting artwork "Water Girl" as the icon, and combines Alvin Zhang's sculpture form and lighting creativity. Integrating the architectural language of the surrounding buildings, it interprets the "connection and coherence of water".

The work is modeled as a huge water drop suspended in the pure glass space. It embodies the spirit of water, representing the connection between OnePalace and everything. The countless tiny holes are the lively "water molecules", each emitting a unique, dazzling light, akin to individual cells breathing and blinking. And the elliptical shape placed within a square space subtly reflects the worldview of "round Heaven and square Earth" in Eastern philosophy.

In the evening, the lighting of "THE SOURCE OF TIANYUAN" transforms in captivating ways, simulating the journey of water from gentle streams to rushing torrents, and finally to calm stillness. This dynamic interplay of lights harmonizes with the surrounding architecture creating a silent symphony that invites reflection on the essence of water as the source of life. The work not only demonstrates the perfect combination of art and technology, but also conveys a profound reflection on the harmonious coexistence of nature, life and city.

The integration of this artwork into public space makes OnePalace T7 an artistic treasure of the city, bringing both visual and emotional enjoyment to the public. THE SOURCE OF TIANYUAN is not only a part of the landscape of the city, but also a bridge connecting nature, culture and humanity.
