Spice Chakra Recipe Packs

Spice Chakra approached Kre8ive Partners to create a brand and packaging for their Spice Chakra range of recipe packs.



The recipe packs were filled with authentic herbs and spices pre-measured to allow budding chefs to create traditional Indian cuisine in their home kitchens.



Spice Chakra wanted a brand to reflect the whole-body goodness of their products and the packaging to appeal to consumers who wanted more traditional Indian cuisine that was different from the ‘briticised’ recipes they may have tried at their local Indian takeaway.



The solution was to create a range of packaging that would allow consumers to view the spices in the pack, see the final recipe, and that would show the ‘shopping list’ required to make the recipes. The inside of pack contained step by step instructions to make the recipes.



The packs were printed on card with water-based inks and sealed with a matt varnish. The logo and ‘chakra’ wheel had a spot gloss varnish to give a shimmering affect in-store.



It was important to both Kre8ive Partners as an agency, as well as our client Spice Chakra to produce packaging that was kind to the planet. The packaging is recyclable and the board from which the outer was printed on, was selected from specifically sustainable sources. It is also printed double sided, and left open at the sides to reduce non-essential packaging.
