The Zhengda Coffee Town - Water Sports Rental Center

Zhengda Water Sports Rental Center is located in Xinglong Town, Wanning City, Hainan Province, with a floor area of 688.74 square meters and two floors above ground. The site is a coffee culture-themed Zhengda Wanning Xinglong Coffee Town Town, and the water sports center is located in the 10# site, which is in a gateway position. The functions include a wine bar + rental center + paddleboard storage + locker room + equipment room. How to develop the public space system beyond "operation" for this public building located at the entrance is of paramount importance. The design brings about changes in the spatial hierarchy, conversion of spatial elements, exploration of the publicness and identifiability of urban public buildings, and continuous enhancement of the structural role of the space in the entire district through the roof overturning, craftsmanship and materials, and construction levels. In terms of accessibility, the sports center can link incompatible functions in the district system and open more spatial resources to the public. Like a magnet system, it encourages the use of different groups of people by triggering common activities to emphasize the ownership of citizens.
