Yupi is an inclusive, AI-powered conversational voice assistant designed to bridge language barriers in urgent care, enhancing communication between patients and healthcare providers. This innovative platform focuses on making healthcare more accessible, efficient, and transparent for individuals who face challenges due to language barriers.

The Yupi system consists of four key components: Yupi mobile, Yupi pin, Yupi clinician desktops, and Yupi smart display. For patients, especially those who speak English as a second language, Yupi acts as a personal guide, allowing patients to navigate complex urgent care system using their preferred language by simplifying the process of scheduling urgent care appointments, navigating check-in, and understanding their medical conditions through conversational user interfaces(CUI) on mobile devices. By leveraging advanced conversational user interface (CUI) technology powered by large language models, Yupi provides a seamless and empathetic communication experience. CUI states such as waiting, ready, listening, processing, and speaking help patients and clinicians understand system statuses in real time, ensuring clear and intuitive interactions.

For healthcare providers, YUPI functions as a professional assistant that adapts to various devices, including clinician desktops and smart displays, promoting multi-stakeholder communication. Yupi pin allows providers to communicate hands-free with patients who speak different languages, facilitating more efficient medical information exchanges. Clinician desktops provide real-time access to patient information, ensuring seamless workflows.

In the exam room, YUPI supports medical consultations with real-time translation, facilitating clear communication between patients and providers. Through real-time medical translation and natural language processing, patients can communicate in their preferred language.Visual aids like 3D smart displays help explain complex medical jargon, improving patient comprehension of their health status and treatment plans.

Through IoT technology, Yupi connects its various devices into a smart, responsive platform that improves communication and enhances the quality of care for individuals with language barriers.

Yupi's design is scalable, with potential to support additional inclusive healthcare solutions, including services for individuals with vision and hearing impairments. Yupi envisions a future where urgent care is more empathetic, efficient, and accessible, empowering all patients to take control of their healthcare experiences, regardless of language or physical challenges.
