Zhongguancun International Innovation Center

The Zhongguancun International Innovation Center is the permanent venue of the Zhongguancun Forum. It is a new format of the convention and exhibition industry integrating conferences, exhibitions, and catering services. The building is in a prostrate shape, like a leaf, a butterfly, or a Ray. As said in "Shan Hai Jing": "With a fish body and bird wings, it flies at night." The logic of lighting design rises from the dancing colorful silk to the light that wraps the earth. The lights are hidden within the metal aluminum louvers on the roof and glow along with the roof's trend. The direction of roof projection is like the flat sweeping light before dusk, as if the building is crawling forward under the light.

There is a shallow pool in front of the building, which also serves as a buffer between the building and the main road. In the quiet water surface, the illuminated eaves are reflected in the water, creating a picturesque view with the distant mountains. The sunken courtyard of the building has a special charm, with bamboo, a water curtain, and leisure space. The indoor and outdoor views are interconnected, becoming a rare quiet place in the bustling city.

There is a small whirlpool-like square on the building roof. Landscape turf is separated by stone benches, and the back wall is arched. It is a space suitable for people to gather outdoors and is also a light nest at night. The entire green roof imitates a green leaf with veins. Paths lead to the roof, and starlight is dotted on the path. The surrounding roads use courtyard lights to meet functional needs with simple methods.

In the urban environment, such a building with this concept competes without competing, and the light is prominent without being dazzling. It disappears in the environment but also magnifies itself. Looking at the layered distant mountains is inviting reverie.
