TaiKang Community JingAn Mansion is Taikang's flagship project in the central urban area of Shanghai and one of the largest newly developed elderly care projects in Jing'an District. It complements the previously opened Taikang Community Shenyuan and Taikang Community Jinxiu Mansion, forming a golden triangle of elderly care services across Shanghai. Located in the northern section of the Zhonghuan (North Central Ring) Danning–Shibei area in Shanghai's city center, the project covers an above-ground construction area of approximately 32,000 square meters and will offer around 380 elderly care units. It is expected to officially begin operations in early 2026. The project is bordered by the natural waterways of Zhaomatang and Pengyuepu to the north and east, and is in close proximity to a 180-acre public green space, the 680,000-square-meter Danning Lingshi Greenbelt, and the nearly thousand-year-old Baohua Temple. This privileged setting, combined with a lifestyle that integrates healthcare and elderly care, aims to create a place where residents experience tranquility indoors and vibrant city life outdoors. It is a "city retreat without leaving the city," a modern urban paradise. This project is styled in Modern Shanghai style, with the design theme "Peach Blossom Shanghainese Charm." The aim is to create a "utopian retreat" for the elderly that combines nostalgia with a modern Shanghai aesthetic. The space features a minimalist and bright interior design, based on large, open spaces and bold geometric shapes, while emphasizing quality in its fine details. Key feature walls incorporate both sculptural elements and soft furnishings that reflect the cultural heritage of old Shanghai, enhancing the spatial experience and encouraging conversation. By integrating Shanghai's architectural essence with modern design techniques, this wellness clubhouse preserves the memory of the past while satisfying the contemporary comfort needs of its residents. To optimize budget costs during the later stages of the project while maintaining high spatial quality, the wall designs have been preserved, the ceiling simplified, and large stone cladding areas replaced with stone-like textured paint. In selecting decorative materials, eco-friendly E0-grade boards, sustainable materials, and water-based paints have been carefully chosen. The soft furnishings are all crafted from natural solid wood.
