The spatial design aims to evoke the poetic charm of Eastern shadows, emphasizing the sculpting of architectural space. Using materials with a warm and unadorned texture, such as dark travertine and walnut wood, the overall tone of the space conveys a serene and relaxed atmosphere. The seating area is softly veiled by bamboo blinds, shielding it from the noise outside. The staircase structure connects the public and private areas while retaining the original handrails of the building. The old paint has been stripped away, revealing the natural grain of the wood.



Above the tearoom, the skylight allows natural light to cascade in. The interplay of light and shadow within the architecture creates a dynamic beauty that shifts with the passage of time, imbuing the space with varying appearances and soul. The silver foil screen in the tearoom reflects a soft glow, complemented by the mottled ironware, tranquil lighting, and vibrant pine branches. This external passage of time imparts a sense of returning to simplicity and authenticity. The space exudes a subtle, understated, and hazy beauty, embodying Eastern aesthetics.
