Lynx e-kickscooter is born from an intensive customer focused design activity: 652 online surveys, 215 f2f interviews and 14 prototype iterations have been carried out. The scope of Lynx is to change the micromobility paradigm providing customers with a unique, safe and stable e-kickscooter. The combination of an original design with key features such safety system, navigation and three wheels makes the user experience unique while riding in the urban environment. The three wheel design has been chosen to ensure a safe, maneuverable and stable riding, that is missing in current solutions and is one key customer pain point. Lynx is easily portable thanks to two handles helping commuters during their trips: trolley like or suitcase like transportation are enabled. A circular economy approach will be used to decrease the carbon footprint: wood deck, aluminum frame and batteries will be designed to close the product lifecycle reintroducing the materials in the supply chain. The scooter does not have a dashboard by choice: riders do not interact with a new user interface but can do everything by the personal mobile device through the Lynx APP. Last but not least, Lynx trip does not end at home: once parked in the living room it can be used by the customer as an interior lighting device thanks to his self standing and minimal design.
